As soon as an athlete gets a hard hit to the head, you'd expect the program to monitor them closely for several weeks. However, this is not always the case and they usually return quickly to playing. This is why conducting a study on individuals who have had previous concussions and monitor their brain activity to look out for any signs of these diseases, would be a good thing to do. However, this cognitive monitoring is not covered and will need funding to be covered. This monitoring is beneficial to these athletes because it can ultimately determine whether their neurological problem can be prevented or not, on time. Unfortunately, CTE can not be determined until after death and examination of the brain. But, with cognitive mo

nitoring of these athletes brain's it could help prevent these traumatic situations from occurring.
